Fashion Hack: Turn a Pair of Pants Into a Chic DRESS
Do you ever see a pair of clothing that has the most gorgeous fabric or pattern, but it’s not the type of clothing you want?
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how you can turn a pair of pants into a chic dress, without even touching a sewing machine!
Tools and materials:
- Pants
- Belts
To get this look, use any pair of pants that are a few sizes larger than you usually wear. Let’s get started!
Backless dress
1. Combine the legs
Turn one of the legs of the pants inside out and place the fabric into the other leg.
2. Step into the dress
Put on the dress with the seam at the back.
3. Fold down the top
If the dress is too long, you can fold down the top to get a shorter fit.
4. Add a belt to the top and waist
Add a belt to the top to keep the dress from falling down, and another to the waist to add shape.
Here’s the finished look!
Baggy turtleneck dress
1. Rotate the leg to the front
Step into one of the legs again, and rotate the other leg to the front.
2. Pull the leg over your head
Pull the empty leg over your head to create a loose turtleneck.
3. Add a belt
Add a belt to cinch the waist.
Here’s this look with a blazer.
Collared-neck dress
1. Rotate the leg to the back
Put on the pants as normal, and put the loose leg in the back.
2. Pull the leg over your head
Put the empty leg over your head.
3. Add a belt
Add a belt to cinch the waist.
Here’s the finished look with the blazer!
