How to Crop Your Jacket Without Cutting It This Fall
Do you have a jacket that you really like but you’re not happy with the length? Is it a bit too long for your liking?
Here, I’m going to show you how to crop a jacket without actually cutting it. Let’s get started!
If you'd like to check out the full slideshow, head over to my TikTok.
Here’s how long the jacket originally was. As you can see, it falls beneath my hips.
I’m going to shorten it so that it comes to just above my waistline.
1. Tie shoelaces together
Grab some shoe laces or a piece of elastic.
2. Tie around waist
Tie the laces around your waist, but make sure that it has enough wiggle room and isn’t too tight.
3. Stuff fabric under laces
Start stuffing the excess fabric under the laces.
Do this all the way around the jacket, making sure it’s equal all the way around.

Here is the finished look - the jacket went from going below my hips to above my waist.
The great thing about this hack is that we haven’t permanently changed the jacket in any way.
To wear it long again, all you need to do is undo the laces. This is such an easy DIY, and I hope you’ll give it a go for yourself!
