3 Gorgeous and Super Easy Cottagecore Hairstyles
Hi, everyone! I wanted to share some more easy, cottagecore hairstyles that I love to do myself. These are for medium to long hair. Let’s get into it.
Tools and materials:
- 2 mini hair ties
- 1 regular hair tie
- Scarf or bandana
- Bobby pins
Hairstyle 1: Cottagecore hair scarf
This first cottagecore hair look is super simple and all you need is a hair scarf and an elastic. I’ll be using something that’s more of a necktie.
1. Separate your hair into three even sections
2. Tie the hair scarf
Tie the hair scarf into the middle section.
3. Braid the scarf into the hair
Combine the tails into the left and right sections and then do a three-strand braid.
4. Secure
Secure the ends with an elastic.
5. Tie the ends into a bow
Tie the remaining ends of the scarf into a bow.
Here’s the finished look!
This hairstyle is such a cute style. I think it looks best on longer hair, but if you have more medium-length hair like mine, it definitely works.
It’s super cute and adds a little extra dimension to a very simple braid, and if you’re really good at it, you don’t even need a hair elastic. I just like to use one to hold all of my hair together because it’s very thick.
Hairstyle 2: Twisted bun hairstyle
This next cottagecore hairstyle will be a twisted hair look.
It’s inspired by Victorian hairstyles, but it’s very easy to do for someone who wants to do a little extra in the morning.
1. Twist your hair back
Start in the front and begin twisting your hair towards the back. Tie back with an elastic for now.
2. Repeat on the other side
Twist your hair back on the other side. But, once you’ve reached the end, remove the elastic from the first section and gather the ends together.
3. Twist the ends into a bun
Twist the ends into a bun and secure it with a hair elastic.
Here’s the finished look. It really only takes just about a minute to do. It’s so quick!
If you have longer hair, I recommend braiding the bit in the back for more of a braided bun hairstyle so it’s easier to get it into a concise bun.
Hairstyle 3: Cottagecore bow hairstyle
For this next style, you’re going to need two mini hair elastics and some bobby pins.
1. Section
Start by sectioning off a small piece of hair from the front.
2. Braid
Braid it towards the back of your head and tie it off with the mini elastic. Repeat on the other side.
3. Wrap the braids to form a crown
Wrap the braids around the back of your head so they overlap, forming a crown.
Tuck the ends underneath the crown and pin them in place.
4. Add a bow
Use a bow or any other cottagecore hair accessories you have to cover the elastics.
Here’s the finished look!
