DIY Feather Cuffs You Can Add to ANY Outfit
Feather cuffs look so pretty and really add a dramatic touch to an outfit. I found a way to make them easily and cheaply so I can add them to any long sleeved top or dress.
Want to know how I did it? Then take a look at this!
Tools and materials:
- 2 snap-on bracelets
- Feather boa
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
1. Bracelets
You’ll need a couple of plain snap-on bracelets.
Try and find some that are about half an inch wide so the feathers have something to grip to, and in the same color as your feathers.
2. Feathers
While you can buy loose feathers online, you can often find a feather boa even cheaper. Take a look in thrift stores, which is where I found mine.
It doesn’t need to be in perfect condition as you’re only going to use a short section of it.
3. Cut
Cut two strips from the boa to the length of your bracelets.
4. Glue
Run one or two lines of glue down the center of each bracelet.
I find a hot glue gun easiest to manage for this, but any craft glue would work.
Press a strip of boa to each bracelet and leave to dry for a few minutes.
5. Snap
Hold the cuff above your arm and snap it against your wrist. It will automatically lock into place.
