Try out this double pigtail braid hairstyle with me. It’s a little bit sassy and totally easy to achieve. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Claw clip
  • Extensions (optional)
  • Clear hair elastics
Adding hair extensions

Optional: If you have short hair, add hair extensions. Collect the top half of your hair and clip it on your head. Then insert the extensions.

You can add extensions to the sides of your head as well.

Adding hair extensions

These double pigtail braids will look great with this long hair!

Adding hair extensions

1. Twist hair and make a low topsy tail

Separate a strand of face-framing hair. Then grab the hair just beyond that and twist it backward.

Twisting hair

Add the rest of the hair from this side and tie a low, pigtail.

Flip the tail into the space above the elastic to turn it into a topsy tail.

2. Make more topsy tails

Add another elastic about 2” below the first. Then make an opening above this elastic and flip the tail through for a 2nd topsy tail.

Repeat this a few more times until you run out of hair.
