3 Folding Hacks to Maximize Your Space

Hey guys! I can’t wait to show you 3 great folding hacks to maximize your space.


Did you even know you’re folding your sweatpants wrong? Don’t worry, ladies. I got you covered.

Tools and materials:

  • Sweatpants
Sweatpants

All three methods start with the same 1st step. Simply lay your sweatpants flat and fold them in half, lengthwise.

Fold the waist down to the crotch. 

Folding hack

Take one pant leg and fold it across and outward. Fold the waist down again. 

Folding hack

Fold the second pant leg 2 times up towards the waistband. 

Now pull that first pant leg over the top and tuck it into the other side.

Fold the waistband down towards the crotch. 

Folding hack

Fold the bottoms of the pants up towards the crotch. 

Folding hack

Then fold it one more time and tuck it into the waistband.

Starting at the waistband, tuck and roll down.

When you get a bit more than halfway down, take one pant leg and fold it up and out, similar to the way you did in the first method.


Continue rolling till you get to the bottom.

Take the outside pant leg, open it at the ankle, and wrap it around the rolled-up pants to hold everything together.

    These are all good ways to fold sweats but, wouldn't that stretch out the waist band and the bottom of the leg? I just fold them in half, then fold them again a third of the way down, and then I finish rolling them up. The after effects are the same as yours, except, nothing gets stretched out of whack my way. It works great for jeans, too.

    I pack away seasonal clothes in totes the same way, including tops.
