Half-up Fishtail Braid Tutorial
Have you always wanted to try a fishtail braid but weren’t sure what to do?
Here is your opportunity to have a go at one! In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to create a half-up fishtail braid.
Tools and materials:
- Hair elastic
1. Separate hair
Start with two strands at the back of your head.
2. Cross over hair
Next, take a little bit of hair from the outer edge and cross it over to the other strand.
3. Cross over hair from other side
Then do the same thing but from the other side. Take a little bit of hair from the outer edge and cross it over to the other side.
4. Continue
Continue this process all the way to the bottom of your hair or an inch up from the bottom if you prefer.
At all times, you should be working with two strands and crossing some hair from the outer edge over.
Tie your hair with an elastic once you reach the bottom.
Half-up fishtail braid
Here is the finished look. It is very feminine and elegant and is a perfect half-up look. You have the gorgeous braid and can also wear your hair down. The best of both worlds!
