Are you looking to spice up your ponytail? I have just the thing for you.

I’m going to show you how to make a super cute twisted ponytail look that will give you a nice bit of variation from your standard ponytail look.

Tools and materials:

  • Hair ties
Tying middle section

1. Tie middle section

Divide your hair into three equal sections and tie the middle section to make a ponytail.

Tying outer sections

2. Tie outer sections

Grab the two outer sections of hair and tie them into a ponytail above the one you just made.

Flipping hair through hole

3. Flip hair through hole

Pull the hair elastic down slightly to create a space at the top of the ponytail, and then flip your hair through the hole.

Creating hole

4. Create hole

Twist the two top parts of the ponytail around to create another hole at the top.

Brining ponytail through

5. Bring ponytail through

Finish by bringing the lower ponytail through the hole. Tighten the hair elastic and then adjust your hair so that it conceals it.

This is the sort of hairstyle that you’ll see someone else have and admire it and quietly wonder how to create it yourself - but now I’ve shown you just how to do it! It’s super straightforward, and the finished result is lovely.
