Directions:

  1. Wash your face well before using the facial steamer. I use a cheap one from Amazon, and it is awesome! I highly recommend getting one of these to treat pores, it has been a game changer for me.
  2. Once you have steamed, you can use the tools that come with the steamer to extract blackheads on the nose or chin area (or whatever area you have them).
  3. Apply a layer of the Niacinamide serum directly onto the area where blackheads were. I just do a spot treatment on these areas.
  4. Apply your regular skincare to the rest of your face, you can apply a layer of blemish based moisturizer on top of the niacinamide if you have some. If not, just leave that area covered in niacinamide.
  5. I do this routine every day for a few days until the area looks almost free of blackheads.
  6. For maintenance, you can keep up with minimizing pores and black heads by using a good purifying mask like the one we share in our blog post!

The reason you want to use a purifying facial mask is they typically contain ingredients to shrink and clear pores. This is key to keeping blackheads away!

Sorry, I disagree. As a licensed esthetician with education from Aveda, as well as a myriad of other education from other courses I will say an unlicensed person should NOT be using professional tools on their skin as it can cut, & scar the skin.

This is VERY VERY BAD advice. I have worked in various states & with various skincare lines & even have had two businesses.I do recommend using the following. Cleanse the skin, tone, use either two dental plackers for removing food/plaque press down on the skin & then move the tools toward one another & then the white or blackhead or blemish will usually come out. Or you can buy a skin scrubber or ultrasonic skincare spatula. La Belle makes one but, if you cannot afford $150 they have one’s which are less. A decent one is about $60. The cheaper one’s tend to wear out quicker. I have used cheaper one’s on client’s & the motors wear quickly. It’s not worth it. I recommend using them a few times a week. Use one side to pull out impurities & one side to push in serums, Creams, etc. You will also want to use a nice masque. Also, don’t use your nails or finger’s to remove or pick at your skin. It will spread bacteria.

If you want to also pull away blackheads a pore strip works nicely. Also, a scrub works quite nicely & lease don’t use St. Ive’s. Beauty professionals think this is junk. If someone in the industry tells you to use this at home please run.You can also once a month or twice a month get a microdermabrasion treatment or if you cannot afford one Trophy Skin has a decent Micro Dermabrasion machiner for home use. You will want to use it one to three times weekly. Believe it or not drinking collagen does help. Just find a good organic brand it does help. Make sure you have a well balanced diet, clean tour skin, follow with a good moisturizer, use a derma rollers, gua sha’s & use a good sun screen. Anything over 30 does not work. It is designed to make you feel better. Your skin needs maybe 15-30 minutes of sun a few days a week to avoid depression.60-70% of people are deficient of vitamin D. Avoid retinol if you are going to be in the sun for a week before sub exposure.
