How to Style Curly Lob - Getting That Perfect Textured Look

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to style a curly lob. If you have a straight, textured lob (long bob) haircut, watch this tutorial to learn how to style it for gorgeous curls and waves. It’s quick and easy and will give you a great stylish curled lob hair look for the day.
Tools and materials:
- Wet brush with open venting in the back
- Wide-toothed comb
- Curling iron
- Flat iron
- Texturizing paste
- Hair spray
1. Curl the back of your lob
Clip all your up at the back of your head and then pull two sections out at the back. Curl the first section of hair, using a curling iron set to about 320 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take the second section of hair and curl it in the opposite direction to the first section.
Repeat with two sections on the other side of the back of your head.
2. Curl the sides of your lob
Now take two sections from the front side of your hair and curl each section from front to back. You will keep the curls going in the same direction at the sides. Repeat on the other side of your head.
Continue curling sections of hair from the sides to the back where you started.
3. Style the top of your lob
Take the hair at the top of your head out of the clip. Starting with a small section at the front of your hair, use a flat iron to straighten your hair.
Pinch the end of that section together and pull down and forward on it gently.
Repeat with the next top section of hair creating a soft bend toward the front of your head. Continue with the flat iron going as far back as you want, probably two or three sections back.
Move the flat-ironed sections to one side so you can see what you are doing and take another section of hair from the top. Use either the flat iron or curling iron, iron this section but this time put the bend in going towards the back of your head.
Repeat until you have ironed all of your hair.
4. Finish styling your lob
Find a part in your hair and use your fingers to play with the positioning of your hair until it is just the way you want it.
Use your flat or curling iron to touch up any bits that you want a bit more curl or bend to, particularly on your bangs.
Feel free to use some texturizing hair paste if you want a “piece-y” look to your lob style and finish with a touch of hair spray. The texturizing paste will also help hold down your growing-out bangs.
