The Simple Way to Tie Your Raincoat
A trench coat is such a stylish and timeless piece of clothing, so you don’t want to ruin an elegant look by doing the coat up in a messy way.
Here, I’m going to show you the simple way to tie your trench coat that will leave you with a nice, neat knot. Let’s get started!
1. Make a loop
First, adjust the strap on your trench coat so that it is slightly longer on one side than the other.
On the longer side, wrap the strap around your hand to make a loop.
2. Pass the strap through
Then pass the rest of the strap through the loop.
3. Pass other strap through
Next, take the strap from the other side of the coat and pass that through the loop.
4. Tighten the knot
Finally, pull on both straps to tighten the knot you’ve made.

Here we have the finished look. The knot looks neat and precise, and the two straps hang down gracefully on either side.
I hope you’ll give this a go for yourself next time you pop on your trench coat. I guarantee you’ll be as pleased with the final look as I am.
