Step into the 2000s with these Lizzie McGuire-inspired shoes.

I love a good throwback vintage look and Lizzie McGuire is a great character to draw inspiration from.

The best part about this project is it is so easy to make.

Tools and materials:

  • Platform sandals
  • E6000 glue
  • Decorative flowers

1. Prep

Next time you’re at Target pick up a pair of their platform sandals. If you can find a similar pair at a thrift store, that can work too.

Also, buy some E6000 glue and some decorative faux flowers.

I chose yellow flowers but you could probably make this work with any bright, summery color.

2. How to DIY Lizzie McGuire-inspired shoes

Gluing on the flowers will help you style your new platforms to really give them an early 2000s style.

Simply squeeze a small amount of glue and press on the flower.

Do this all over the sandal but don’t put the flowers too close together or it will overwhelm the look.

Leave about two inches between each flower.
