In this tutorial, I'm going to give you a few shirt hacks that will help you use your shirts in different ways. For these tips you can even use your partner's shirt. We’re going to be discussing how to tuck in your shirt in different ways.

Best uplifting bra!

The key to looking good in any shirt starts with a good bra, we recommend this bestseller 18 hour ultimate lift bra that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Wearing the right bra

1. Wear the right bra

This first tip is key. It might be very obvious to some people, but it might not be as obvious for others.

If you're wearing a white shirt and you don't want to show anything that's underneath, then wear a nude bra.

Do not go for a white bra underneath a white t-shirt because that's always going to show up!

Rolled sleeves

2. Roll up your sleeves

This second hack is more of a styling hack and it is to roll up your sleeves.

This looks especially good on shirts where the cuffs are in a different color to the rest of the shirt, but you can also do it with a white shirt as well.

Rolling up your sleeves will give your outfit more of a relaxed look and this is particularly helpful if you’re wearing an oversized shirt - it will help to give it more of a fitted look and make it look more intentional.

Rolled sleeves

An alternative way of rolling up your sleeves is to bring the cuff all the way up your arm. Do up one button on the cuff and then bring it up to where you’d like it to be.

Then you can start rolling that bottom part. (You can look at the video at 1:41-2:02 to see how I did this).

This will leave the cuff exposed and I think that this technique gives a way more stylish finish than the regular way of rolling up the sleeves.

Shirt styling

3. Style your shirt

One thing that I really like to do with my shirts is to bring up the color to make it look a little bit more elegant, chic and relaxed. Unbutton a few of the buttons on the top.

If you don’t want to show a lot of cleavage then you can take the shoulder line and pull it up a little bit. This creates a very effortless look and if you put your hair in a bun and add some accessories it will look so so nice.

Tucked shirt

4. Tuck in your shirt

The last two shirt hacks are on how to tuck in your shirt.

The first one is very easy and straightforward and it's folding your shirt underneath before tucking it in. This will prevent any bunching that you can get from the shirt so just fold it underneath. At the back, if the tail is too long, make sure to tuck it in properly all the way around.

This style looks best with high-waisted pants as it will accentuate your waist and make it look thinner.

Last but not least is the crossover top. For this one, with your shirt unbuttoned, tuck it in but diagonally.

So you want to bring the left side of the shirt over to the right side of your pants and vice versa to create a crossover effect. Tuck it in all the way around. (You can look at the video at 4:11-4:34 to see how I did this).

You might have to spend a few minutes straightening it out. I would wear a shirt like this undone with a vest top underneath.

There we have a bunch of shirt hacks. Different ways that you can style a button-down shirt to create different looks and give you more options when it comes to putting an outfit together.
