Styling Men’s White Button Down Shirt

Recently I’ve found a men’s white button down in perfect condition from the thrift store. So I wanted to share with you who versátil an oversize white shirt can be. I want to point out that I am short and realize the length may not work for everyone.

I did pair a nude tank dress under so I wouldn’t expose anything when lifting my arms. Here you can see the Oversize shirt can be very shapeless.

Tall boots brings this look more into the fall and warms it up some. Since the shirt is shapeless I added large scarf and draped it over my shoulders. This helps hide the square shape and draws the eye to the center.

Here I threw on my most favorite fall piece, the trench, but with sneakers and a cap to keep the look very laid back and casual. You can lose the sneakers here and do a lug boot or combat boots.

Lastly, did a long blazer that is actually the same length as the shirt. Added a neutral pair of boots and and black bag to give some contrast. You can absolutely change the color pallet here depending on the blazer color you choose.

    Hi...

Sooo....are you actually wearing the shirt as a 'dress' and going out in public..?

I know you mentioned that you were wearing a tank dress underneath it but it is not visible (which is probably the point) and it looks like you forgot your 'bottom piece'.

So sorry that I just don't get it.

Yup. It’s a slip dress you would wear for smoothing or if something is see through. But you could wear nude shorts or denim shorts.
