1. Sweater dress
The first must-have piece is a chunky knit sweater dress, all you do is pop it on and you’re good to go. If you want to cinch in your waist, you can also add a belt. I like to style my dress with some over-the-knee boots.
This outfit has only two elements and yet it looks stylish and elevated. The mini length of the dress contrasts really nicely against the tall boots. When it comes to outerwear, I’ve styled the knit with a long cream coat in a similar color.
2. Leather pants
Leather pants during the fall and winter are an absolute must for me. I paired them with a black knit sweater, and to break up the monochrome look I threw on a camel trench coat. The brown shade also gives the black a softer edge.
3. Mini skirt
Add some warmth to your favorite mini skirt by wearing it in the fall with a turtleneck sweater. I tucked it in just at the front to draw attention to my waistline. I love how these two beige tones match one another but aren’t identical.
For footwear, I opted for some knee-high boots. If the weather is chilly, you can add a pair of tights as well. When heading outside, I would add a black coat over the top. This looks very put together yet is so effortless as well.
4. Knit sweater
Here I went for a beautiful white knitted sweater. I styled it with a pair of beige fitted pants and some chunky biker boots to create a bit more of an edgier look.
As an outerwear piece, I’m wearing a checkered blazer which adds a touch of pattern to the outfit. The blazer also has white lines in the checkered print which ties in nicely with the sweater. This outfit is really simple and super wearable for fall days.
5. Black pants and a white shirt
A pair of black pants and a white button-down shirt are essential pieces in my fall wardrobe as they are so versatile. The shirt I actually got from the menswear section for a nice oversized fit. I’m wearing a pair of heeled ankle booties as I love how they look with this.
This base is really like a blank canvas which you can take in many different ways depending on what outerwear piece you decide to style it with. For me, the fall season can’t be without a leather jacket and that’s what I’ve decided to style it with.

Is genuine leather clothing really back in style? Some sites say not. I've a beautiful pair of very soft leather pants, and I hesitate to wear them.
