If the thought of mayo grosses you out or you can't get the ring off, here is a highly reviewed ring cutter that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Understanding the Concept:

Believe it or not, the oily and slippery texture of mayonnaise can work wonders in loosening up tight spots, including stuck rings. It acts as a lubricant, helping the ring slide off smoothly without causing any discomfort.

Why Mayonnaise Rocks for Ring Removal:

  • Rich Lubrication: Its thick consistency provides ample lubrication to ease the ring off your finger without any pulling or tugging.
  • Household Staple: Chances are, you have a jar of mayonnaise sitting in your fridge, making it a convenient solution when you find yourself in a pinch.
  • Gentle and Safe: Mayonnaise is gentle on the skin, making it a safe option for removing stuck rings without causing irritation or harm.
  • Accessible and Affordable: Forget about fancy tools or expensive solutions – all you need is a dollop of mayo to tackle this common problem.

This hack is most effective for rings stuck due to swelling or moisture. If your ring is stuck due to a different reason, it's best to seek professional assistance.

Tools and Materials:

  • Mayonnaise (the regular, full-fat variety works best)
  • Cotton balls or swabs
  • Warm water
  • Soap
  • Towel
Apply mayonnaise to finger

2. Apply Mayonnaise

Take a small amount of mayonnaise and apply it generously to the area around the stuck ring using a cotton ball or swab. Ensure that the entire area is well-coated with mayo.

3. Let It Sit

Allow the mayonnaise to penetrate and work its magic for a few minutes. This will help lubricate the ring and make it easier to remove.

4. Wiggle It Off

Once the mayo has had time to work its charm, gently wiggle the ring back and forth while slowly pulling it away from your finger. Be patient and avoid forcing the ring off to prevent any injury.

5. Rinse and Clean

Once the ring is off, wash your hands with warm, soapy water to remove any residual mayo. Dry your hands thoroughly with a towel.

So many of these 'tutorials' are unnecessarily wordy and long. This one could have been done in one or two sentences. Do we really have to tell people to wash and dry their hands after smearing with mayo? And you have another one, almost identical, but using baby oil. Not trying to pick on you, but come on.
