This Braid Mohawk Tutorial is SO EASY

Easy

I am so excited to show you guys this extremely cool mohawk braid hairstyle. It is so easy to do.

The best part is that despite being quick and easy, this hairstyle looks complicated and interesting.

People will think you spent a lot of time working on it but you only need a few minutes!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair elastics
  • Brush
Sectioning hair

1. Section and braid

Section off the hair for the braid. I’m using the pointy end of my styling brush but if you don’t have one you can use your fingers.

You’re going to need a section of hair from the top of your head, where a mohawk would start.

Braiding

Take a section about an inch and a half to two inches wide and go back three or four inches.

Separate that hair into thirds and start your braid. You can braid it going towards your face.

This will help achieve some nice volume when you pull it back.

2. Pulling it all together

Pull all the rest of your hair back into a ponytail at the top of the head where the braided section ends.

I like to take some strands out by my ears to leave some wisps showing.

Flipping hair

3. Flip and finish

Flip your braid back towards the ponytail.

Creating opening in braid

Create an opening in the braid and pull the ponytail through it.

Pulling braid

Tug at the side of the braid to add some volume.
