Hey girls! In today’s tutorial, I'm going to cover all the winter staples and basics that are the ultimate wardrobe must-haves! These classic pieces make dressing for cold weather a walk in the park.

Wear a knitwear sweater

The outfit I am wearing has a few of my winter favorites. First I have this gorgeous knitwear sweater that is a great winter staple. My outfit also includes a skirt. I absolutely love this skirt and how it works perfectly with the cropped knit. I chose to wear this oversized coat which is a complete staple during winter. It keeps me warm and helps pull any look together.

Wear boots

I added a pair of thigh-high boots to this look. These boots are so on-trend right now and are a great statement piece to have in your winter wardrobe. If you don’t have a pair then any chunky boots would look stunning with this outfit.

Wear all black

Wear a thin knitwear top

Knitwear is a big trend this winter which is why in this second winter staple outfit, I am rocking a thin knit sweater. I paired the sweater with a pair of black, cropped pants. This ballon style, wide-cut leg, is a definite trend for 2021. I decided to add a pair of heeled ankle boots to this look which makes it more of a dressy outfit but I think a chunky combat boot would work as well.

Wear pumps

A pair of pumps works beautifully with this look as well! This takes the look in a more professional direction. Even though my outfit is black from head to toe, the off-black knit adds a little bit of depth to the look. I decided to wear a belt to cinch my waist which makes this look more fitted and well put together.

Wear a loose shirt

Wear a button-down

One of my year-round staples is a white button-down. For this season I chose a button-down in a more champagne-like color that adds warmth to any look. This shirt tucks so beautifully into my leather trousers making this outfit a staple for winter! I decided to pair this look with my ankle cut heel boots and I must say I am just in love with the whole outfit.

Wear a suit

Wear a suit

Suits have been on trend all year round and they’re not going anywhere this winter! You really can’t go wrong if you wear a pair of black pants and a black blazer. I decided to wear my champagne button down with this suit and just left it hanging loose. I love how the shirt adds an oversized element to an otherwise very fitted outfit. This look is chic and effortless!

Wear a coat

This long coat is a definite must-have this winter! Not only does it look amazing with almost anything but you can layer chunky knit pieces under it. This coat is a piece that you feel instantly confident while wearing.

Wear a roll neck

Wear a roll neck blouse

Another winter special is a roll neck blouse. I love a roll neck all year round but in winter they definitely help keep you a little warmer. A roll neck blouse is chic and is a basic in my winter wardrobe.

Wear a vest

In this next outfit, I layered this black vest over my button-down. The gold in the vest picks up the champagne tone of the shirt and works perfectly with it. I styled it with black pants and a pair of pumps.

Minimalist winter wardrobe

Wear a blazer

Another winter staple is this knit black dress that I just love! I paired the dress with this checked blazer. Checked material is really in right now! If you want to add a belt over the blazer to cinch your waist, that would look gorgeous with this look. If it's cold, tights would work with this look as well! Having a few winter staples and basics makes styling outfits a whole lot easier! Which look do you like best? Let me know in the comments!

Love the over the knee boots with the camel colored long coat. Also like the plaid blazer and skirt. The skirt is short, but long enough to show under the blazer.
