I had a green dress and hi h was too short and a tad too tight. I also had a maxi brown skirt that I needed to transform...

I basically transformed and sort of merged two pieces into completely new garments to wear!

So basically, I cut off one of the layers of the brown skirt and added length to my green dress! I also had some brown fabric and I added that as a seam in the back to give me a couple of more inches (so I could now fit into it!) Voilà!

Next: The long maxi skirt...when I took the bottom layer off to use for the green dress, I still had enough to turn the fabric into sleeves.

I attached the sleeves to the skirt - and poof! Just like that it turned into a cute short dress!

Besides cutting, I stitched both layer and sleeves by hand. Super easy and fast!

Now i have two new dresses! Have you tried something like this? I’d live to know- And see!

Here’s the skirt transformed into a dress - with sleeves. The sleeves I used from the leftover fabric I used for lengthening the green dress.

Two finished products!

Here’s the new brown layer that transformed the dress.
